WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today the Biden Foundation announced a new expansion of its team with the hiring of two additional policy experts. Ben Harris (Consultant) and Gina Lee (Policy Associate, Higher Education and Military Families) have joined the Foundation’s staff to continue driving the work championed by Vice President and Dr. Biden.

“We’re so fortunate to be bringing Ben and Gina’s valuable expertise to the table,” said Louisa Terrell, Executive Director of the Biden Foundation. “Ben’s years of experience driving economic policy – most recently as Chief Economist to Vice President Biden – will be right at home with the Foundation’s mission and will further the Vice President’s lifelong goal of strengthening the middle class.”

“Gina will be instrumental in furthering the Foundation’s work on advancing community colleges and supporting military families. Her longstanding experience in and out of the White House will help us maximize the Foundation’s impact in these areas,” said Mala Adiga, Director for Higher Education and Military Families at the Biden Foundation.

Ben Harris is a consultant for middle class and economic policy at the Biden Foundation, a Visiting Associate Professor at the Kellogg School of Business, and Chief Economist for Results for America. He recently served as the Chief Economist and Economic Adviser to the Vice President of the United States. Following his tenure at the White House, he was a senior economic policy adviser with Rokos Capital Management. He was also previously the Policy Director of The Hamilton Project; a Fellow in Economic Studies at Brookings; and Deputy Director of the Retirement Security Project at Brookings. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from George Washington University, in addition to a master’s degree in economics from Cornell University and a master’s degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University. In 2000, Ben was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Namibia.

Gina Lee is a Policy Associate at the Biden Foundation, working to support the higher education and military families pillars. Before joining the Foundation, Gina worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as scheduler to the running mate, Senator Tim Kaine. Prior to the campaign, she served in the Obama Administration in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs as Associate Director for Confirmations. She also previously worked in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the 2013 Presidential Inauguration and 2012 Democratic National Convention.
