Position Title: Press & Digital Intern, Biden Foundation

The Biden Foundation is a nonprofit established to carry on Vice President and Dr. Biden’s lifelong commitment to public service. Founded in February 2017, the foundation continues the work of Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden on domestic policy issues that the Bidens championed throughout their careers in public service. The foundation’s central focuses are advancing community colleges, ending violence against women, ensuring LGBTQ equality, strengthening the middle class, and supporting military families.
The Biden Foundation press intern will provide essential support to the communications director and will be an integral member of the team in D.C.
The press & digital intern will support the Biden Foundation communications team by performing a range of administrative, organizational, and writing duties. Projects range from daily media monitoring, maintaining press lists, drafting internal and external materials in support of the communications director and the foundation’s online presence.
The press intern should have strong writing and editing skills, social media knowledge, a positive personality to support relationship management efforts, strong attention to detail for managing spreadsheets and data, and the ability to multitask.
The position is part-time and flexible from up to 15 hours per week and is based in Washington, D.C. We are seeking one intern for the upcoming semester.
